Last shots from Killbear

These are the last shots from my trip to Killbear with Kevin Collins.

I was really interested in how the light was playing of the low waves that were rolling in off the bay. The light was just enough to allow me to freeze the motion a bit more, while still allowing for some moody atmosphere.

It’ll be a little while before I can get out shooting landscapes again, but I’ll still have some new work to post pretty soon I hope.

  1. Great shots Mike. I like how the shutter speed in the first one smooths out some of the water and also causes the spray streaks in the wave. Nice lighting.

    • Thanks Scott! I must have taken 15 versions of this just to get the timing right for the lighting. It was a challenging balance to strike to smooth it out a bit while still freezing some of the motion as well. Glad you like it!
