Off A Dock, Darkly

A similar composition (though slightly zoomed in) as the shot from a few days ago, however this one was taken a little later in the evening. The clouds had gathered a bit more densely by this time, but were breaking up deep in the background. Same filters used to get a 45 second exposure.

While I initially gravitated to the previous shot due to it’s colour and calm feeling, I have really started to appreciate this shot – particularly the reflection of the tree line. In the previous post, I felt the treeline reflection was too deep into the foreground, whereas here it’s just right.

I also like how this shot has a somewhat dark, foreboding feeling that contrasts the more serene vibe of the previous image.

Enjoy!
