The Deep Dark Woods

My wife Kim and I were out walking in a nearby park last night, and as we came down the path we could see the lights over head reflecting the droplets of water on all the branches. It was a glistening display of beauty and I just had to come back and get the camera. I was lucky enough to have Kim return with me to spend some time trying to capture an idea of what it was like to just stand there in the tranquil place. We were there for over an hour and in that time not another person walked by. As you can see I am still trying to get a handle on night shooting, but I was pretty happy with the way these turned out.

As we were standing there in the shadows cast by the light, I was reminded of a Canadian band I particulalrly love called The Deep Dark Woods. Have a listen to their amazing song “All the Money I Had is Gone”

Enjoy!

Mike.
