Solitary Morning

While I have always had a passing interest in photography, it wasn’t until I visited my wife’s parents farm in Chatsworth for the first time that I realized I wanted to push myself beyond simply documenting vacations and towards expressing myself more as an artist. I have a deep passion for the farm and I have really grown as a person and as an artist while wandering about the landscape there. Maybe it’s because I have always felt so welcome and at home there. A few weeks back, Kim and I were up to visit her parents and for the Chatsworth Fall Fair.  I took the opportunity to get up and shoot a few longer exposures before the sun came up. What an amazing time to be up and about on the farm. A rooster crowing and the wind was all I could hear. A beautiful solitude, but with family (still sleeping) close by. Just perfect.

  1. Nice shot Mike! It’s great to see that you are exercising your artistic side, and what better medium to do so with (I may be a little bias). I look forward to seeing more work from you.

    p.s. thanks for the link!
